Little wooden books and more…
Mrs Eliot Books is designed and made in London by artist and designer Francesca Iannaccone and products include little wooden books, prints, cards and original collage pieces.
Since opening our first etsy shop in September 2006 our collection has grown and we are steadily adding more and more retailers.
Mrs Eliot Books is fun, fresh and original, we like to try and make something for everyone so we will often make concertina card versions of our little wooden books or turn an original collage into a print.
We find inspiration everywhere, from the shape of a piece of discarded paper to elastic bands lying on the floor - so many ideas come from happy accidents. We also love random words and cut-up conversations, and breaking down details into shape and colour and pattern.
If you’re intrigued about the name, when Francesca was at art college The Middle Age of Mrs Eliot by Angus Wilson was the first book she bought from the second-hand shop, to tear up and use in her work to make a new narrative. Sorry Mr Wilson.
